Davidson UMC Divorce Care for Kids

Davidson United Methodist Church will offer a free, 13-week Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K) program beginning Thursday, Feb. 1. DC4K is a Christian-based class designed to help children ages 5-12 whose parents are going through or have gone through divorce or separation. DC4K combines games, crafts, music and DVD dramas to create a fun atmosphere where children feel comfortable and accepted.

Halls of government become art gallery

Davidson Town Hall is now an art gallery, and a new exhibit up just in time for Christmas in Davidson will continue through Dec. 31. Local Art for Christmas, a group exhibit on display at Town Hall, features paintings and photographs by Lake Norman area artists Sandie Bell, Kathie Kemp, Lori Neill and Mary Luke as well as photography by Rachel Goldstein and David Boraks.

Letters and cocoa for kids and Santa

Through Wednesday, Dec. 14, children can bring their letters to Santa to Santa's Mailbox at the Cornelius Arts Center. From there, the letters will be sent on an express journey to the North Pole. Letters should include a self-addressed, stamped envelope so Santa can write back.
