Titans thump Hawks

Written by

Hopewell opened the 4A baseball playoffs last Friday by avenging its season-opening loss. The Titans defeated West Meck 11-1 on the road to advance into a fourth meeting this season with I-Meck Conference foe Mallard Creek.

Hunter Conley held the Hawks to three hits in the win and also drove in five runs. Titan Dillon Watts hit his first home run of the year.

“We put pretty much all the phases of the game together,” said Hopewell coach Chet Greeson.

The Hawks defeated Hopewell 8-6 March 1.
