North Meck holding first kickoff dinner

University City United Methodist Church, at the corner of Harris Blvd. and Sugar Creek Road, will be the site of the first North Meck High School Football Kickoff Dinner Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 6:30-8:30p.m.

The fundraising event, for Viking supporters of all ages, will be emceed by NASCAR commentator Jeff Hammond, a 1974 North graduate. The Vikings will honor coaching legend Will Campagna, who passed away last year, and the night will feature speakers such as Viking football coach Mike Bradley and former athletic director Leroy Holden. Dinner will be provided by Outback Steakhouse.

The cost is $30 per person or $50 per couple. Space is limited.
