Every football team has questions looming as July gives way to August, and it may be October or November before answers are truly evident. Official practice begins countdown to kickoff

Local high school football teams have been working out for a while, but the official practice season begins Saturday for public school teams and Monday for private schools. It’s not so much of a change in everyday activities as it is the start of the countdown to game time.
