LNTA tourney raises Hope

The Lake Norman Tennis Association’s recent Southern Cities Women’s Doubles Tennis Tournament raised $2,000 for its charity partner, Hope House Foundation, serving homeless women and children in the Lake Norman area. The annual tennis tournament was held at Hornet’s Nest Park in Charlotte on June 3-5. Winners of this local tennis event were Women’s 4.5, Lynn Chambers and Britt Ruby; Women’s 4.0, Bonnie DePaolis and Felicia Dean;Women’s 3.5, Amy Brandon and Leslie Swift; Women’s 3.0, Aokie James and Michelle Lukas; and Women’s 2.5, Tammy Johnson and Lisa Kaouss.

Lake Norman Tennis Association will have two qualifying teams represented at the Southern Cities Championship in Atlanta Aug. 25-28. Any proceeds raised by Lake Norman Tennis Association for the championship will also benefit Hope House.
