The annual Angels of ’97 golf tournament “Puttin’ Fore A Purpose,” scheduled for Friday, Sept. 16, at Birkdale Golf Club, is seeking sponsors. The tournament is one of two primary fundraising events by Angels of ’97, which was founded in honor of five North Mecklenburg High School students who graduated with the Class of 1997 in spirit only. Along with the annual spaghetti supper, Angels of ’97 has raised more than $400,000, which has provided college scholarships for deserving students at North Meck and Hopewell high schools.
Presenting sponsor at the $5,000 level is McIntosh Law Firm of Davidson. Sponsorship opportunities remain at the $3,000, $2,000, $750, $500, $200 and $100 levels. Complete details about each sponsorship package are available at www.angelsof97.com.
Players may also begin signing up. The tournament begins with registration at 12:30 p.m. with a 2 p.m. shotgun start. An awards dinner will follow the tournament.
