Huntersville finished the year 22-4 after going 19-1 in the regular season, sweeping Burke County Post 21 3-0 in the first round of the playoffs and falling in three games to Hickory Post 48 in the second round. By the time Hickory beat Huntersville 25-11 last Wednesday to end Post 321’s season, Huntersville’s roster had dwindled to just 12 players for various reasons, and the team that was once rolling was no longer intact.
