N.C. team wins Future Stars game

The North Carolina team of rising high school freshmen football players won the first North Carolina-South Carolina Future Stars game last weekend at Hough High.

Hough High assistant coach Shawn White served as the N.C. team’s head coach.

Future Independence High player Kelvin Hopkins passed for more than 200 yards and multiple touchdowns, including one to Caleb White, who will join his father the coach at Hough next year.
