Lake Norman Charter totaled 322.5 points and finished fifth among 1A schools in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association’s Wachovia Cup standings for the 2010-11 school year.
The Wachovia Cup recognizes overall athletic achievement by awarding points for postseason participation. The Knights were fourth a year ago. Bishop McGuinness, of Kernersville, took the 1ACup with 630 points.
Hough compiled 245 points and tied New Bern for 13th among 4A schools. The Huskies were second among I-Meck Conference schools. Lake Norman was ninth with 305 points. Morrisville Green Hopeset the 4A standard with 427.5 points.
