Most club golf tournaments held on area golf courses offer a special hole-in-one prize, and it's often a car. But seldom does anybody actually win the grand prize. That wasn't the case on Sept. 30, 2011, when Gary Brown won a new 2012 Ford Mustang courtesy of Huntersville Ford during The Tradition Men's Member-Guest Golf Tournament at The Peninsula Club in Cornelius.
The car was recently awarded to Brown and his wife, Becky. at the dealership.
"This has been an incredible experience and a stroke of luck," punned the winner. "Timing is everything as I was looking at new cars and then it happened. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Huntersville Ford and all of their staff. Everyone has been so great. Special thanks to Dan Parks, Daren and Thomas."
