The Eagles beat Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, an N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association school located in the Georgia mountains, 30-21 and improved to 7-1 entering Friday’s game at Fayetteville’s Village Christian.
Eagle Adam Gilkerson ran for 185 yards and two scores on 24 carries. His 48-yard score in the fourth quarter helped SouthLake get the separation it needed for the win.
Demetri Allison added 93 rushing yards and had a 39-yard reception. And SouthLake quarterback Randy Schroeder ran for three scores on nine carries, totaling 36 yards.
The Eagles totaled 454 yards of offense, but struggled throwing the ball. Schroeder was picked off three times.
