A 6-foot-4 wing, Albritton averaged 11 points and five rebounds for the Patriots last year.
“It’s a great feeling to know that the hard work I’ve invested provided me with a number of college options,” said Albritton. “It was a challenging process, but I felt that VMI sets me up for success beyond graduation.”
VMI plays an up-tempo style and has been among the nation’s leaders in scoring in recent seasons. Baucom, who previously served as an assistant at Davidson College and North Meck High, is entering his sixth year at VMI.
Albritton also drew recruiting interest from Boston University, Yale, Colgate, Winthrop and New Hampshire. He will sign a national letter of intent next month.
Albritton’s teammate, point guard Rashun Davis, has narrowed his recruiting options to UNC Asheville, Furman, Radford and Wofford. Davis averaged 13 points, five assists and four rebounds last year.
