The Vikings have essentially started over this season, having returned just one player from last year’s I-Meck Conference championship team. Their lone win came against East Meck Sept. 1.

“We’re young and still learning,” said North coach Paul Kikta. “We’re a little undermanned right now, but we’re doing alright.”

Kikta praised the play of Michael Paulino and Seth Hewing-Hendricks, who recently moved from the midfield to defense.
