Hough beat North Meck 6-0 last week behind a Nathaniel Goodwin hat trick. Michael Basnett, Davis Park and Tanner Roberts had the other Husky goals, while keepers Jaron Bradley and Collin Black combined for the shutout.
Against West Charlotte, Basnett had a hat trick. Other Hough goals were scored by Goodwin, James Jackson, Daniel Nielsen, Andres Duarte and Kevin Husselbee.
Davidson Day (13-2-2) is ranked No. 7 in the state among 2A private schools, having posted wins over Statesville Christian, Victory Christian and Hickory Christian by a 16-1 combined score. C.J. Bradley led the Patriots with eight goals and three assists for the week. He now has 25 goals for the season.
Lake Norman Charter, 12-3-2 after a 1-0 loss to East Lincoln last Wednesday, is ranked fifth among 1A public schools.
