Principals poised for positive start

As the CMS school year begins, all principal positions are filled at north Mecklenburg’s public schools. School leaders are:

• Elementary schools: Barnette, Dianna Newman; Blythe, Patricia Johanson; Cornelius, James T. Garvin; Davidson, Terry C. Hall; Huntersville, Deborah Mangieri; J.V. Washam, Ray Giovanelli; Long Creek, Chad Thomas; and Torrence Creek, Brian Schultz.

• Middle schools: Bailey, Jennifer Dean; Bradley, Laura Rosenbach; J.M. Alexander, Jo Karney (Karney is currently on medical leave and veteran CMS principal Joella Farrell is serving as the interim principal); and Lake Norman Charter, Michelle Harrison.

• High schools: Hopewell, Louise Jones: Hough, Terri Cockerham; Lake Norman Charter, Shannon Stein; and North Meck: Matthew Hayes.
