First graders at Torrence Creek Elementary School are organizing a fundraising yard sale to raise money to purchase classroom equipment.
Students in Amy Pearce’s class will hold the giant yard sale in the bus parking lot of the school, 14550 Ranson Road in Huntersville, on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 8 a.m. to noon. Baked goods will also be available.
Students are currently in the process of gathering items and collecting donations to be sold at the yard sale. All proceeds from the event will be targeted to help purchase a smart board for the classroom.
