Application seminar scheduled at LNC

Lake Norman Charter School in Huntersville is altering its application process and will conduct a seminar to explain the changes in early November.

LNC, a public charter school for students in grades five-12, is moving to an online application process for families planning to apply for student admission in the 2012-13 school year.

General information about the school, and details about the new application and lottery process will be presented on Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 7 to 8 p.m. in the gymnasium at the school, located at 12701 Old Statesville Road.

Online applications for the next school year will be available at www.lncharter.com starting Tuesday, Nov. 1, and applications must be submitted by Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012 to be included in the lottery, which will be held Tuesday, Feb. 14.

LNC is in its 14th year of operation and currently has an enrollment of 1,450. There are no fees or tuition to attend. Additional information can be obtained on the school’s Website or by calling 704-948-8600.
