A band made up of local teenagers had a busy weekend on the stage with one of the performances taking place during a benefit for a a toddler in Mint Hill. On Saturday, Heartbeat played at Andre Christine Gallery in Mooresville for a new artists opening, then in “Kilah-Palooza in Mint Hill to help raise funds to help the family of Kilah Davenport meet medical expenses. Kilah has been in the news recently, having been beaten nearly to death by her stepfather.
