The cast of 45 actors range in age from 6 to 18 years old. Content is appropriate for general audiences. At each performance, the cast will collect new and gently used children’s and youth books for area reading programs. Tickets cost $15 for adults, $12 for ages 62 and older and $10 for age 18 and younger. Admission is free for ages 3 and younger, but child must sit on a parent’s lap. MOORESVILLE, N.C. — The Mooresville Community Children’s Theatre will perform its upcoming winter drama production The Magic Tree House – The Knight at Dawn, Feb. 10-12, at the Charles Mack Citizen Center, 215 N. Main St., in Mooresville.
This production is based on the popular fantasy adventure book series, The Magic Tree House by Mary Pope Osborne. In this drama, 8-year-old Jack and his younger sister, Annie, find a magic tree house that whisks them back to the Middle Ages for a wild adventure. In the Great Hall of the castle, a feast is under way, but Jack and Annie aren’t exactly welcome guests. They embark on a mysterious quest, experiencing a grand Medieval feast, escaping through secret tunnels and dancing with enchanted suits of armor, all in an effort to find their way back home.
