Mr. Green, 69, of Mooresville died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 5. He was born in Miami, Fla., to Ernest and the late Grace Green.

Lowes grant helps Child Development Center add program
Thanks to a grant in the amount of $59,000 from Lowes Home Improvement's Charitable and Education Foundation, the Davidson-Cornelius Child Development Center will add full-time infant care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 months as part of its early learning center that already serves children ages 1-6 years and after-school ages 6-12.

Guys and Dolls
The Davidson Theatre Department and Music Department will present Guys and Dolls Wednesday-Sunday, March 20-24. The award-winning, 1950s adventure in the New York underworld features gangsters, gamblers, outrageous bets, love, showgirls, cops and missionaries bent on saving their souls. Performances will be March 20-21 at 7:30 p.m., March 22-23 at 8 p.m. and March 23-24 at 2 p.m. in Duke Family Performance Hall. General admission costs $15, students $6, and seniors $12. HES classmates raising $1,000 for Susan G. Komen Foundation
What started as a conversation between friends has grown. Five children ages 9-10 set a goal to raise $1,000 for the Susan G. Komen foundation and are well on their way. Simply from going door to door, Sydney Minarik, Jacy Madigan, Lacey White, Coy Davis and Will Kastel, all fourth graders at Huntersville Elementary School, have so far raised $300.
