HPD golf to help Special Olympics

Written by

Space for players is still available for the Huntersville Police Department’s 13th annual golf tournament to benefit Special Olympics of North Carolina. The tournament will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Cowan’s Ford Country Club with all proceeds donated to the state Special Olympics organization.

There will be an assortment of on-the-course prizes, including two hole-in-one chances at new vehicles courtesy of Huntersville Ford and Victory Chevrolet, as well as a putting contest and other events on the day of the tournament, which will begin with registration at 8 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 10 a.m.

Area restaurants, including Dunkin Donuts, Chick-fil-A and Outback Steakhouse, will provide food for tournament participants.
