DLC stargazing at Fisher Farm

Written by

People of all ages are invited to a wondrous night of stargazing at Fisher Farm Park Friday, Oct. 14. The event, sponsored by the Davidson Lands Conservancy, will begin at 8 p.m.

The Davidson College Physics Department and the Charlotte Astronomy Club will provide equipment and expertise for this popular, free event. Upon arrival at the park, attendees should dim car lights and drive slowly to prevent dust and glare from interfering with the night sky. For more information, and to see descriptions of planets and stars that might be visible, including a worksheet to list observations, visit www.davidsonlands.org.

Fisher Farm Park is at 21215 Shearer Road, is just east of Davidson. Take Rocky River Road to Shearer and then north about one mile. Fisher Farm Park will be on the left.
