It was previously reported that North Carolina Department of Transportation Deputy Security of Transit Paul Morris, through the end of the year, is also operating through the end of the year as a consultant to the Red Line Task Force. Morris’ personal contract as a consultant, in fact, is no longer in force, although he will continue as a technical advisor on behalf of the NCDOT to the Red Line Task Force through the end of the year. This was a concern because of the possible appearance of “double dipping,” which in fact is not the case. He is now paid only by the State of North Carolina.
