Activities will include fire prevention seminars, repelling exercises and station tours. Younger participants will also have opportunity to squirt a real fire hose and experience the moon bounce, slide and other children’s attractions. There will also be assorted give-aways for station visitors.

In observance of Fire Prevention Week, Cornelius-Lemly Volunteer Fire and Rescue will hold a community open house at Fire Station No. 1 Saturday, Oct. 15. Events at the station, 19729 S. Main St., will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until 3 p.m.
