HPD seeks sponsors, golfers for benefit tournament

Written by

The Huntersville Police Department is looking for sponsors and golfers to participate in its traditional fall fundraiser to benefit the Special Olympics of North Carolina.

The department’s 13th annual golf tournament will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Cowan’s Ford Country Club with all proceeds donated to the state Special Olympics organization.

Registration is now under way for the event. There are multiple levels of sponsorship opportunities, from $100 a hole support up to the $1,000 major sponsor category.

There will be an assortment of on-the-course prizes, including two hole-in-one chances at new vehicles courtesy of Huntersville Ford and Victory Chevrolet, as well as a putting contest and other events on the day of the tournament, which will begin with registration at 8 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 10 a.m.

Area restaurants, including Dunkin Donuts, Chick-fil-A and Outback Steakhouse, will provide food for tournament participants.

For more information about sponsorship opportunities, or to sign up as a team or individual participant, contact Tom Seifert, 704-453-3422, or at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
