Davidson United Methodist Church has assigned the Rev. Glen Kinken to additional responsibilities in serving the congregation and community. Kinken, minister of church administration for the last three years, has been named DUMC’s executive pastor.
In the new role, Kinken will take the lead in planning and implementing ministry programs through the church’s administrative council. He will work closely with the program staff to help assure the ministry area is equipped and sustained.
The Rev. Jody Seymour, senior pastor at DUMC, announced the assignment and said the change will allow for more sharing of administrative duties among the church’s staff and create more time for direct interaction with church members and the overall community.
