Harrow earns East-West spot

Written by

Recent North Meck High graduate Patrick Harrow has been selected to play in the East-West All-Star boys’ soccer game July 20 in Greensboro.

The 20th annual game is set for 8:30 p.m. at UNC Greensboro. Harrow scored six goals and had six assists last fall while earning I-Meck Player of the Year honors. He earned a scholarship to play at Appalachian State.

Harrow joins Hopewell’s Hannah Early (girls’ basketball) as local selections to the annual events for the state’s recent graduates.

Harrow’s selection is the first for North Meck in boys’ soccer since Michael Kohlmeir and Matt Horn were selected in 2008. That was the third straight year the Vikings had two selections each in boys’ soccer. Alex Moreno and Adam Hatem were selected in 2007, and Matt Elliott and Justin List were picked for the 2006 game.
