Andrew Golba, a rising senior at Hough High School in Cornelius, is taking part in the 10-day National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine through June 28.

Golba was nominated by teachers and selected on the basis of his academic excellence, leadership potential and interest in a career in medicine.

The program is based at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and participants also visit Duke University Medical Center and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Golba is a member of the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.C
