The modified bill codifies 51 percent of the prepared meals taxes remitted to the threenorth Mecklenburg towns to fund the local convention and visitors bureau, Visit Lake Norman but does not address the revenues derived from hotel/motel taxes collectedlocally. Breaking News: The Lake Norman Citizen listened in on a meeting of North CarolinaHouse of Representatives this morning, during which a substitute version of House Bill508 was unanimously approved by the North Carolina House Finance Committee. The bill is scheduled to be considered on the House floor for a vote today before crossingover to the Senate.
