New addition to DDS staff

Wes Wehunt is the new head of the lower and lower middle school at Davidson Day School. Wehunt, a veteran administrator, is replacing Michael Cerkovnik, who has moved on to duties as the head of educational innovation.

Wehunt comes to Davidson Day after four years as the head of lower school at Augusta Preparatory Day School in Georgia. Prior to the Georgia post, he served three years in the same position at St. John’s Episcopal School in Olney, Md., where he also worked as director of admissions and five years as the lower school dean of students.

Wehunt earned a masters of education degree from Marymount University in Alexandria, Va. anda bachelor of arts in English from the University of Maryland.
