Douyon will be responsible for developing and implementing a variety of sports programs, including the facility’s soccer initiatives, from microprograms to competitive tournaments and adult league play opportunities. Douyon, a former scholarship athlete and competitive soccer player at Elon University, has played soccer for nearly 20 years. He started coaching soccer in his sophomore year at Elon and then worked with the Burlington Soccer Club for five years
“Soccer is my passion,” says Douyon. “The incredible growth in the number of Mooresville kids enrolled in organized athletics, combined with the impressive quality of the local sports clubs in the area, and of course our own indoor training facility, is a very exciting prospect.”
Mooresville ISC will offer soccer programs for all ages including micro-soccer for children ages 3-5, youth soccer for boys and girls, and adult programs for men and women. Programs are designed with age and ability in mind and are often staffed with coaches or referees associated with local area soccer programs. The facility is at 128 Speedway Lane in Mooresville.
