Marjorie Beaumont Smith

Mrs. Smith, 75, of Cornelius, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, at her home. She was born April 1, 1936, in Heckmondwike, England, to the late Harold and Gertrude Beaumont. She worked for 23 years at the needlecraft center in Davidson.

She is survived by her husband, Alwyn, of Cornelius. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary.

A memorial service was held Monday, Feb. 6, at Bethel Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bill Cain officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Guiding Eyes For The Blind, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598. Samuel S. James Funeral Service of Huntersville is serving the family.

Ann Barbara Richkus Slahor

Mrs. Slahor, 89, of Cornelius died Wednesday, Feb. 1. She was born Nov. 11, 1922, in Newark, N.J.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Snyder and husband, Tom, of Cornelius; sons, Jeffrey Slahor of Morgantown, W.Va., and Robert Slahor of Kenilworth, N.J.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grand children. A memorial service was to be held at a later date.

Brynda Williams Moore

Mrs. Moore, 70, of Davidson died Friday, Feb. 3, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. She was born July 25, 1941, in Jackson, Tenn., to the late Argyle and Margaret Williams.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Moore and wife, Dana, of White, Ga., Brent Moore and wife, Elizabeth Tracy, of Telluride, Colo., and Bryan Moore of Cornelius; brother Tommy Williams of Jackson, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Sunday, Feb. 5, at Davidson United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Hassel and the Rev. Jody Seymour officiating. Burial took place at Hopewell Cemetery in Jackson, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Levine & Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Drive Huntersville, NC 28078; or the charity of choice. Samuel S. James Funeral Service of Huntersville is serving the family.

Nancy Culbreth Lancaster

Mrs. Lancaster, 75, of Huntersville, died Friday, Feb. 3, at Carolinas Medical Center. She was born June 12, 1936, in Spindale to the late Ben Culbreth and Ruth Gillespie. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and a member of the New Hearts Club.

She is survived by her husband Robert Lancaster of Huntersville; son Melvin Lancaster of Lilburn, Ga.; daughters, Rhyta Lancaster of Kannapolis; and Kelly Hall of Cleveland, N.C.; and six grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Union Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Wallace officiating. Interment followed at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Cardiovascular Foundation, Carolinas HealthCare System, 1001 Blythe Boulevard, Suite 300, Charlotte, NC 28203. Samuel S. James Funeral Service of Huntersville is serving the family.
