Cornelius installs prototype sign

Written by

The Town of Cornelius has begun installing the first of many wayfinding signs. These signs were developed last year by the sign committee, which was charged with overhauling signs within the town.

The first sign that was installed last week is a prototype, which will be evaluated for its readability and effectiveness. This will allow for modifications prior to production of all the wayfinding signage in the coming weeks. The initial installation of wayfinding signs will focus on major attractions and locations throughout the town. Like the prototype, each sign will have available space for businesses to utilize.

"These signs will not only improve aesthetics, but will also help guide customers to our many great businesses in town," says Cornelius Commissioner Lynette Rinker.

The town will be working in the coming days to finalize the wayfinding sign designs and make necessary modifications based on the prototype installed. Installation of the remaining signs will occur in the coming weeks.
