HPD seeks help in McDonald's armed robbery investigation

Huntersville police are asking for the public’s help in investigating an early Monday armed robbery at McDonald’s restaurant at 14220 Boren St. off Gilead road. Officers were dispatched to the location about 2:45 a.m.

The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a black hooded jacket, black athletic pants with white stripes down the legs, gloves and black shoes. Armed with a black rifle, he entered the restaurant through the drive-through window, obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in a black passenger vehicle.

The Huntersville Police Department is asking anyone with information related to this investigation to contact Lt. A. S. Dempski at 7040-464-5400 or North Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers at 704-896-7867.
