Bethel Church benefit BBQ set

Written by

Bethel Presbyterian Church will hold a barbecue, bake sale and silent auction later this month to benefit area children and various mission programs.

The 17th annual event will be held Thursday, Sept. 22, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the church, 19920 Bethel Church Road just off Catawba Avenue in Cornelius.

All proceeds from the barbecue will go the Barium Springs Home for Children in Iredell County. Money raised by the church will be used to purchase furniture and appliances for the Sullivan Home facility at Barium Springs.

Plates including barbecue, slaw, beans and bread, or three sandwiches with slaw, will cost $8. A one-pound container of barbecue will be $10. Desserts will be available as well as drivethrough service.
