Two handguns were located and seized from one of the suspects. The investigation continues and more charges are pending. In addition to the four counts each of trafficking heroin, Martinez, of Cornelius, was charged with one count of conspiracy to traffic cocaine, and is being held on $850,000 secured bond; Bonham, of Charlotte, was charged with one count of conspiracy to traffic heroin, and is being held on $850,000 secured bond; and Redfearn with one count of conspiracy to traffic heroin and one count of possession of firearm by a felon, and is being held on $880,000 secured bond.

Also last week, Huntersville police on Friday, Sept. 9, obtained felony warrants on two suspects for the Aug. 22, attempted robbery of the Wachovia Bank located at 14215 Market Square Drive.
Warrants were obtained on 22-year-old Elsworth Fitzgerald Usher Jr. of Charlotte for common law robbery and resisting a public officer; and on 24-year-old Stephen Michael Giles of Charlotte, who was already in custody at the Mecklenburg County Jail, for conspiracy to commit bank robbery and accessory after the fact. Usher turned himself into the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office without incident.
