Bojangles employee claims robbery

Written by

A Bojangles employee claims to have been robbed en route to the bank with the restaurant’s deposit on Saturday, Sept. 17, at approximately 3:47 p.m. Cornelius police responded to the scene in the area of 19706 One Norman Blvd., where the victim stated a robber stepped from behind a parked trailer and in front of his car. He approached the driver’s window with what appeared to be a gun and demanded the money and car keys.

The suspect — described as a heavy set black male with very short hair on his head and short, scruffy facial hair on his chin — was given the money and then left the area on foot heading west from the area. He was last seen wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans.

Police are asking anyone who has information or saw anything suspicious in the area around this time to contact the North Meck Crime Stoppers at 704-896-7867. You can remain anonymous.
