Job search seminars planned in Davidson

Written by

Starting in November, the Davidson Parks and Recreation department will offer a series of job hunting seminars for area residents.

In response to rising unemployment numbers, the department is sponsoring the programs to provide people in the job market with information and advice to enhance employment applications and searches.

The programs will be held at the Parks and Recreation office, 416 Armour Street in Davidson, and conducted by Monica White, a professional psychologist with more than 15 years experience enhancing career development skills for clients.

Space for each seminar is limited so pre-registration is required. Each program carries a $19 participation fee and additional information and registration materials related to the seminars can be found at www.d-Recs.org or by calling 704-892-3349.

The job search can be a frustrating process and sometimes people can feel like only a number. The planned seminars are designed to help participants stand out in the crowd.
