In only three days, Huntersville teenager Morgana Shorter collected 200 pairs of sneakers to donate to the Access 2 Success Foundation, a program founded by former Davidson College basketball player Andrew Lovedale that provides shoes for children in Africa. With help from faculty members and classmates at Berry Academy, Shorter developed the quick campaign that allowed students to donate shoes in exchange for hat-wearing privileges in class. The collection was presented to the foundation at the Davidson basketball game Monday night.
