Retirement Planning Specialist Norris Woody of AXA Advisors is a pretty busy guy. Besides providing financial consulting services to businesses and executives providing financial consulting, he serves on the Executive Committee for the Boy Scouts of America, is a member of the Town of Cornelius Planning Board, is a member of the National Ski Patrol Board and is a board member of Global Evangelism Ministries in Charlotte. When he’s not in his Cornelius office or working with Olympic athletes, he can often be found hurtling down a frozen mountainside, on purpose, on a pair of skis. Or, he can be found right here on Page 2 as your Fellow Citizen.

What is your current state of mind?

Relaxed.

 

What makes you happy?

Snow skiing down a mountain in Colorado.

 

What qualities do you value in a friend?

Not to judge a, but to pick you up and ask, “How can I help?”

 

What do you regret about your youth?

Trying to be an adult too early. You know it was the ‘70s!

 

Which talent would you most like to have?

To play the piano. I shouldn’t have skipped that lesson as a youth.

 

What is your favorite place?

Any mountain top.

 

What would you do if you hit the lottery?

Become a ski bum.

 

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Being part of the medical staff at the Atlanta Olympics for two months, saving lives at Centennial Park.

 

What is your best quality?

Giving back as much as I can, to my family, community, and my friends.

 

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Be taller.

 

What is your guiltiest pleasure?

Being on the National Ski Patrol, skiing.

 

What would you rather be doing right now?

Snow skiing.
