What is your current state of mind?
I am dealing with storm damage to my house and yard. I would not wish that on anybody.
What makes you happy?
Seeing a smile on my wife’s (Melissa) face lets me know that things are going right in our little world.
What qualities do you value in a friend?
Someone who will tell you the real truth.
If you had a motto, what would it be?
It has always been to not work yourself to death because you have the rest of your life to work.
What do you regret about your youth?
That it lasted only a short time. I didn’t realize how much fun I was having. Now that I look back growing up on a farm had a big influence on my life today.
Which talent would you most like to have?
My dad was a good singer so I guess that would be a talent I would desire.
Where is your favorite place?
Out in the woods behind my Grandpas farm and the old Crump Theatre in Columbus, Ind.
Who is your hero?
My dad. He worked hard every day to provide for our family.
What would you do if you hit the lottery?
With my half I would travel with some friends and play some of the great golf courses around the world. My wife gets the other half.
On what occasion do you lie?
When I say that I want to watch a TV program that my wife wants to watch when in reality it would put me to sleep.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
I’m hoping that is still on the horizon. This makes you look forward to the next day.
What is your greatest treasure?
Finding my wife. She runs the house and takes care of all the little things needed to make a happy home.
What is your best quality?
Being dependable and punctual.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I always wanted to be six feet tall. My older brother was 6-2. I felt I could have done so much more with this extra height.
What is your guiltiest pleasure?
I really like sweets. Cakes, pies, candy. It’s a wonder I’m not 300 pound.
What would you rather be doing right now?
Golfing in my favorite foursome my dad, my brother Randy my brother, and my brother-in-law Larry my brother-in-law.
