The 6,400-square-foot location will seat 187 customers, and will feature a larger, more upscale patio with couches and club chairs as well as an expanded private party room. A separate bar menu will be available, with several booths in the bar area equipped with burners to allow bar patrons to experience the full fondue dining experience. In addition, a section of the restaurant will be dedicated to tables equipped with adjustable lighting for diners who would like more privacy.
The Melting Pot — Lake Norman, which will be locally owned and operated by Todd
Dennis, plans to hire 40 positions for its expanded relocation, including servers, server
assistants, bartenders and hospitality and kitchen staff. The new restaurant is anticipated to open in mid to late November.
“We’re pleased to have the opportunity to relocate to the Lake Norman area to serve our guests in an expanded space with an even more inviting atmosphere,” says Dennis. “Our new location will be farther in distance from our Midtown location and will allow us to reach new guests in addition to our loyal fondue fans.”
Founded in 1975, The Melting Pot offers a choice of fondue cooking styles and a variety of
entrees combined with dipping sauces. The menu also includes cheese fondues, salads, fine
wines and chocolate fondue desserts. For more information about the new Lake Norman-area
