Personal trainer opens own studio

Written by

With the snip of a ribbon last week, Frank Giancarli realized a life-long dream. The Training Ground at Davidson, a boutique personal training facility, is now open for business, culminating years of saving and striving for Giancarli.

A native of New York, he earned his associate’s degree from the New York College for Holistic Health, Education and Research, and began a career in personal training and massage therapy in New York City.

Since moving to the Lake Norman area almost six years ago, Giancarli worked a wide variety of jobs to acquire the capital needed to invest in his own personal training business. The result is the recent grand opening of the Training Ground at Davidson, which features three workout stations, free weights, treadmill, stationary bike and personal massage room. In addition, Giancarli offers classes in Pilates, yoga and “Bootcamp,” a cross-training and full-body workout.

“At the Training Ground, we offer personal training for all goals, ages and abilities,” he says. “From tri-athletes focusing on injury prevention and teens trying to improve in specific sports, to those looking for lower impact results like pregnant women or seniors, we’re here to help people meet their fitness goals.”

The Training Ground at Davidson is at 122 St. Alban’s Lane. Call 704-464-2048 or visit www.traininggroundatdavidson.com for more information.
