More than 45 business owners turned out for the half-day, free seminar, featuring sessions on Internet marketing and tips on accessing capital.
The highlight of the event was an Entrepreneurs Panel that included Jennifer Cochrane, cofounder of LKNSavings, an online business and shopping resource for the Lake Norman community. Cochrane and her three fellow panelists shared tips on what helped them in their success, while also relating the issues they encountered as new business owners and offering ideas to help find solutions.
Cochrane and LKNSavings co-founder Lori Frascati sold the three-year-old local business about four months ago to Diana Howard, who recently relocated to the Lake Norman area from upstate New York.
