Showmars opens new Iredell store

Written by

For more than 25 years, Charlotte-based Showmars has steadily expanded its casual dining franchise throughout the region, including locations in Huntersville and Denver. Now, the restaurant known for its mix of American favorites and traditional Greek cuisine will bring its signature menu to Mooresville, its first location in Iredell County and the 28th in the chain’s history.

“We are excited to open our newest restaurant in Mooresville,” says Showmars founder George Couchell. “Showmars has served the Lake Norman area at our Huntersville and Denver locations for years and now we look forward to getting to know our neighbors in Iredell County.”

“Mooresville has a great reputation as a tight-knit, family-oriented town,” says John Vastis, franchise owner of the new Mooresville Showmars. “Those characteristics exemplify our core values at Showmars and we look forward to making positive contributions to the Mooresville community.”

Showmars was recently named one of the 50 fastest growing restaurants in America by the food Web site MonkeyDish.com. Menu items include pita sandwiches, burgers, gyros, Souvlaki, fresh salads and the famous World’s Best Fillet of Flounder.

The new Mooresville location is at 138 Williamson Road, just south of the intersection with River Highway (N.C. 150). For more information, visit www.showmars.com.
