Roush Yates opens engine parts outlet

Written by

Roush Yates Performance Products, a division of Roush Yates Engines, will hold an open house for its recently opened, 40,000-square-foot retail store in Mooresville on Saturday, July 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The store features 12-foot-tall aisles of used Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series race car parts, a first-of-its-kind massive retail center for racers. In addition, Roush Yates’ new retail showroom features displays of sale-ready race engines, high-end performance parts, consumables and a car display.

The open house event will also feature a classic car show, NASCAR and ARCA show cars, dirt late models, Sprint Cars, dragsters, modifieds and corporate displays, free hot dogs, snow cones, a bounce house, face painting and hourly give-a-ways.

NASCAR teams typically run their car parts to about one-third their useful life, then are removed from the car to make way for a new part. Until now, there has not been a large-scale clearing house for such discarded parts. Roush Yates has partnered with many of NASCAR’s upper echelon teams to create a program that defers placing used car parts in landfills and makes them available to small track race drivers. Roush Yates Performance Products is at 122 Knob HillRoad in Mooresville.
